Anyways, it was the second time I had been to Amsterdam the first time was a live changing time because that was where I met my fiancee while working in the Shelter Christian Youth Hostel where we worked in the Cafe together.

So going back to Amsterdam bought back a lot of memories to be honest. However, this time I was no longer a student but a staff member and was going for a retreat as well as mission into the Red Light District and to those that work there, a place which I avoided as much as possible last time.

This time round it was a very new experience by going to possibly the darkest place in Europe which on refelction should have freaked me out somewhat. However, their was such a sense of the peace the entire time we where there which looking back was a complete miracle particularly when considering all the potential dangers that where present in that area. Most of the work that we did there involved a lot of prayer walking and also giving out flowers to the workers there which the girls on the team generally did.

Apart from our work in the red light district we where also involved with a church called the Crossroads International Church, which is pastored by Gerard Kelly, the work that is going on there is truely amazing they are seeing about 400 plus at each of their services. Which is amazing considering that they don't do any evangelism! The growth has come purely through people in the church inviting their friends to come, so its amazing really and a great encouragement to see that it is possible to see churches grow today.

Also we visited Anne Franks house and Corrie Ten Boom's house which were also good experiences. So being back in England is now a relief to honest and looking forward to seeing Sara this weekend.

Hello!

Hi, this is my blog.
